Exhibit
A new exhibit, sponsored by ECVA New Jersey, opens February 3, 2008. Featuring drawings and paintings by Eileen Kennedy, the exhibit is a culmination of four years’ work. The exhibition’s main feature comprises fourteen oil paintings based on the Christian visual narrative tradition that depicts the last hours of the life of Christ. The paintings are arranged in a cruciform measuring 12 feet wide and 6 feet high. Also on display are intricate drawings made in preparation for the work.
ECVA Chair Ruth Councell states, “we hope that this exhibition will enhance the experience of Lent for the Cathedral Congregation, the wider Diocesan family, members of other area churches, and the public.”
