Transitions engender growth and change. They challenge our assumptions about relationships, values and priorities. Some transitions occur within a religious or spiritual framework, some in a cultural context, while others happen in isolation. The artist should consider how transitions provide courage for the future and help celebrate the past. Themes may include but not limited to: journey, community, empowerment, struggle, liberation.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify" align="justify"><span class="sizeGreater20">Artists may submit up to 10 slides or 300 dpi. jpgs and should include a list of slide or file descriptions with title of artwork, dimensions, date, format and price. Artists should also include a biography and artist statement. </span></p><p style="text-align: justify" align="justify"><span class="sizeGreater20">Located on the North Shore of Chicago in the diverse and dynamic city of Evanston, Seabury-Western Theological Seminary is itself in the midst of a transition to offer more forward-looking theological education in a rapidly changing context. Featuring drawings and paintings by Eileen Kennedy, the exhibit is a culmination of four years&rsquo; work. The exhibition&rsquo;s main feature comprises fourteen oil paintings based on the Christian visual narrative tradition that depicts the last hours of the life of Christ. The paintings are arranged in a cruciform measuring 12 feet wide and 6 feet high.
